We regret to announce the passing of Rev. William Holdipp, son of the late John Henry and Muriel Holdipp nee Augusta, beloved husband of Aleathea, father of William Jr. [Connie] of the US, Shinika and Crystal Holdipp, grandfather to Jahkeel Smith, in his 76th year of # 7 Alexandra Road, Devonshire, DV02.

He is also survived by siblings: Edith Lightbourne, John Holdipp, Phyllis Jones [US], Carmen Holdipp, Carolyn Holdipp and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He was predeceased by sibilings, Iris Mills, Hazel, George, Rupert, Helen, Alsworth Holdipp.

Lovingly remembered by special friends Pastor Marlon and Brenda Allers [US], Arnold Johnston and Rev. OBrien and Ismay Cartwright as well as his church family New Testament Church of God.

A private graveside service will be held. A memorial service to follow at a later date to be announced.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rex; daughter, Lesley Gloria York [David]; brothers, Justice Earle Seaton [Alberta], Charles, and sister, Ruth Seaton James [Ethelbert]. Most beloved and cherished husband of Diane, loving father of Jason Smith [Joecy] and Amy Da Costa [Steven], beloved ‘Papa’ to granddaughter Carina Da Costa, son-in-law to Doris Kuhn, brother-in-law to David Kuhn [Kristina], uncle to Aaron Kuhn, and his 19th Bermuda Cub Scout family.  

Timothy was predeceased by his parents: Frederick Ellison and Rita  Smith, and brother, Fred.

A private graveside service will be held. A memorial service to follow at a later date.

Fondly remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins and many special Bermuda and U.K. friends and family.

We regret to announce the death of Ernestina DaCosta Rebello, beloved wife of the late Antonio Rebello, in her 88th year. A private graveside service will be held at Holy Calvary Cemetery. She is survived by her children: Tony [Anna], Patricia [Bertie], Charles, and Joanne [Colin]; grandchildren: Ryan, Matthew, Ben, and Nina; sisters: Lourdes and Teresa; sister-in-law: June; loving caregivers Mia and Marlene; numerous nieces and nephews both here and abroad.

She is predeceased by sisters: Maria, Rosarinha, and Eduarda. Donations in her memory can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at P.O. Box HM 1191, Hamilton HM EX.

Jill Muriel Logan

With deep regret we announce the death of Jill Muriel Logan [nee Taylor], beloved wife of the late John Sr in her 89th year. She moved to Bermuda from London in the 1950s, meeting her future husband while enjoying her favourite pastime of dinghy sailing on Harrington Sound. They lived in Harrington Hundreds until after John’s death in 1998, when she moved to Flatts, enjoying her views of the inlet and over the Sound. Originally working at Shell, she moved to LP Gutteridge Real Estate before taking more family-friendly part-time roles [at Coral Island Hotel and Whitney Institute] after the arrival of son John [Jr] in 1969. She resumed full time work with Appleby from 1978 until her retirement. She enjoyed travelling to her family in the UK and New Zealand before Parkinson Disease first curtailed her movements and then necessitated a move to Westmeath Residential & Nursing Care Home. She is survived by her sister Jackie in London, son John, daughter-in-law Clare and grandsons Sam & Alex in Auckland, New Zealand.

We regret to announce the passing of Pearl Louise Smith of 4 Random Lane, Warwick, in her 84th year, wife of the late Reginald Smith, daughter of the late Christina and the late Noel Pearman, loving mother of Lillian Grant, Reginald Butch Smith, Anita Finote Wears [Gary], Yvette Davis [Kevin], Trounsell Leroy Smith [Carla] and Cheryl Missy Beach; father of children Trounsell Brown Smith.

She is also survived by brothers and sisters Noel Pearman [Ione], Geraldine Lambert, late Raymond, Rosina Burgess [Charles], Charles Pearman [Gwen], Shirley Hollis [Phillip], Christine Pearman, Alec Russell [Danette], Josephine Lathan [Joseph]
19 Grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by sisters Joy Pearman and Barbara Smith, brothers Bernard Pearman and Edward Russell.

We regret to announce the passing of Rene Tuzo on April 7, 2020 of New York formerly of Bermuda. Rene worked in the Bermuda Education Department as a Guidance Counsellor for both Elementary and High Schools from 1975 – 1999. She will be sadly missed by Family and Friends and by all those who knew her and worked with her. She was 71 years old.
