A service celebrating the life of Mr. David Gregory Virgil [Raynor], a long-time employee of the Corporation of Hamilton, formerly of Robert’s Avenue, Pembroke, beloved son of Lois Yvonne ‘Pie’ Raynor, the late David Benjamin Smith, stepson of the late Roger Alexander Raynor; beloved father to Shade Simmons [Shomar’i], April Dawn Simmons-Viera [Lino] and Kelly Simmons-Tucker[Shannon]; Charmaine Simmons [mother of David’s children], in his 61st year, will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Middle Road, Paget on Friday, June 16th 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s cemetery.

Visitation: Relatives and friends may pay their respects this evening, Thursday, June 15th from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. at AMIS Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick. also at AMIS Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 16th from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

David is the brother to Michael, Randy [Kim], Allan [Donneka], Angela [Tango], Anthony [Angella] Raynor, and also leaves to cherish his memory his 8 grandchildren, 3 nieces, 7 nephews, his uncles, aunts, numerous cousins, other relatives, godchildren and friends too numerous to name.

Kindly note: In lieu of a viewing, there will be a memorial service at the Southampton Seventh-Day Adventist Church on the evening of Monday, june 19th at 6:30 p.m.

He was predeceased by grandparents, Edgar and Cecily Crockwell, Lydia [Tim] Furbert, and Arthur Jones.

Our beloved James Arthur ‘Bobby’ Barton  [April  22, 1928 – June  15, 2017] went to be with his Lord, leaving behind his best friend and love of 62 years, wife Shirley.  He was a proud father to son J.E. Rick [Mary] Barton and daughter Laurel [Keith] Madeiros. 

A service celebrating Bobby’s life will be held at The Evangelical Church, Mission Road, Paget on Thursday, June 22nd 2017 at 4:00 p.m. with a visitation to pay respects on Wednesday evening at AMIS Memorial Chapel.  Further details will be announced.

Amis Memorial Chapel regrets to announce the passing of George Edward Sousa in his 87th year, beloved son of the late Benjamin [Benny] and the late Virginia Sousa.

He is survived by his son Jeff [Luan] and their children, Colby [Erica] & Lindsay; Grant [Grace] and their children, Dylan & Taylor; great grandchildren, Connor & Riley; and numerous other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. St. Anthony’s Church in Warwick.

Interment will follow the service at St. Mary’s churchyard in Warwick.

A service honouring the life of Captain Dennis Joseph Laurion Burchall — better known as Larry Burchall — will be held at 11.00am on Friday, June 30th at Wesley Methodist Church in Hamilton.

After a life well lived, he passed away peacefully at the age of 75.

He will forever be remembered by my mother Paddy, his wife and best friend of 46 years, by his two children, myself and my brother Laurion, his daughter-in-law Arlene, his brother Roderick,  his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Frank and Sharon Powell, sisters-in-law Marquita Burchall and Marian Askia, and his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law in the UK.

He will also be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews: Trinette, Billy, Nicholas, Sophie, Zuleema, Jasmine, Carlene, Leigh, Kieran, John, Junior, Paula, Leon, Delton, Derrick, Roscieta, Carlton, Oneika, Rodney, Zindzi, Zenani, Kerry, Aaron, Vincent, Teresa, Sandy, Tracey, Martin, and his nephew Captain Clifford Powell, who will be assisting in providing the Regimental Honours at his funeral, something his Uncle would be most proud of.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity or scholarship fund. Colours may be worn, and Bernews will be close to nonoperational on Friday, as we all pay our final respects.

His funeral will be with full military honours, and we extend our gratitude to the Royal Bermuda Regiment, as having the Regiment escort him on his final journey is an honour he would have been deeply pleased to have.
