Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Herman Samuel Garfield Lathan, son of Lefroy Turner Garfield and Frederica Ann Elizabeth Lathan, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, in Savannah, Georgia, USA. Herman was proceeded in death by his parents, Lefroy and Frederica Lathan and his brothers, Graham, Lefroy [Jr.] and Davis Lathan [Sandra], Gary and Nelson Steede. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mrs. Kathleen B. Lathan, his daughters, Rachael Lathan-Webber [AIdriaan], Theresa Harris [Sammie Jr.], Leah Lathan-Smith [Derrick] and Cindy Lambe [Edwin], his sons, Joseph [LaTonya], Daniel [Nikishia], Stephen and Michael [LaTisha], three sisters, Mary Lou Ratteray, Althea Belloguet [Clency] and Juanita Lathan, five brothers, Noel [Jean], Ernest “Joe” [Josephine], Jordon [Christine], Gathan “Jackie” and Frederick “O’Neil” [Tequilla], 20 grand-children, and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
