With great sadness, we announce the passing of Eldrich “Big Joe” DeRosa in his 85th year of 190 Middle Road Southampton, service will be held on Friday, 12th November 2021 at 2pm at the Southampton Seventh-day Church, 228 Middle Road, Southampton. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Southampton.
A walk thru visitation will be held on Thursday 11th November 2021 at AMIS Memorial Chapel, Khyber Pass, Warwick from 6:00 to 7:30 pm only.
Beloved husband to Margaret DeRosa, son of Joseph “Joe Burner/Big Daddy” and Eleanor DeRosa, loving father to sons Carl Sr., Alvin [Mildred], Joseph, Michael [deceased] and Anthony Tavares; daughter Sherri Tavares. Grandpa to Carl Jr.[ Doreen], Latasha, Stephanie, Danielle, Stephanie [Darien], Jermal [Karlene], Alretha, Tiara, Milvin, Jotessa, Joyonna, Emily, Michée, and Sharye and numerous great grands. Brother to Vincent [Janet] DeRosa, Ramon [Diane] DeRosa; sisters Delores [George] DeShields, Doris Johnston, Carol [Clyde] Burgess, Joyce DeRosa, Jennifer DeRosa-Holder.
He will be fondly remembered by his cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews, members of The Seventh-day Adventist Churches and many other neighbors, friends and former colleagues. Special thanks to his care giver Murray Cox.
Eldrich DeRosa was predeceased by sisters Jo-Ell DeRosa, Roslyn “Tiny” DeRosa Raynor; brothers Ralph [Janice] DeRosa, Calvin DeRosa; brothers-in-law Clayton Johnston and Lee DeRosa-Holder.
