Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Mr. Odwin Hillard Berkeley aka “Jimmy”, in his 96th year. Husband of the late Virginia Marion Berkeley, son of the late Harry and Louise Berkeley, loving father of Delores [Cheryl] Johnson [Jeremy], Odwin [Mickey] Berkeley [Andrea], Pandora Glasford [Arthur], and the late Howard James Berkeley. Brother to Majorie Kitsy Bassett, the late Howard Berkeley, Edmund Henry, Reggie Berkeley, Leonie Jones, Dolly Isabelle [Betty] Foggo.
Grandfather of Jerry-Dee Richardson [Darius], Jeremy Johnson Jr. [Tinashe] and Juanita Hudson. Great grandfather of Jermayne and Joshua Dears, Nasya, Asher and Rivka Johnson.God father to Fred Trott and Calvin Blankendal. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends of the St. Paul’s AME Church and Packwood Rest Home. Others both locally and abroad.
Family service is scheduled for Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11 am.
Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Roberts Avenue, Devonshire.
