We regret to announce the passing of Leroy [Lofty] Burns, June 14th 1933 to May 9th, 2021; husband of the late Cynthia Ruth Burns, son of the late Kenneth Leon and Ruth Burns nee Dowling; father to Belinda [Blair] Butterfield, Brando Kenneth [Marcia] Burns, Geno Leroy Burns, Laverne [Mark] Williams, Brian Doers, Patricia [Roger] Lambert, Trent [Karen] Lightbourne and Steven [Karen] Lightbourne in his 88th year of # 15 Warwick Park, Warwick.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday 23rd May, 2021 at 4:00pm at the Hamilton S.D.A Church, King Street, Hamilton. A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 from 3:00pm to 3:55pm.
He leaves to be dearly remembered by grandchildren: Natasha [Shawn] Caisey, Kylah Stowe, Kenneth [Derricka] Burns, Kamala Burns, Leroy Smith Burns, Jasmine [Gap] Majors, Andresa [Royan] Osborne, Keona, Keidric, Kinte and Kawada Smith, Stevie, Aaron, Koren and Joshua Lightbourne; great-grandchildren: Jahkai Stowe, Daylah Stowe Eve, Azaniah and Annaniah Caisey, Daijah and Kenai Stowe, McKenzie-Khol Tuckett, Shyun Ford, Anya Burns, Milano Williams, Kenaze Cann, Royal Azhar, Kairo Smith, Auri Outerbridge, Aidan and Ariana Osborne; aunts: Ethel Richardson; cousins: Burns, Russell and Richardson families, Gerald “Punchie” Burns [Special Son], the late Earl [Townsie] Russell, Myron Ingram; brothers-in-law: Leon [Judy] James, Elvin [Mitch] James, late Winfield [Davina] James and late Lloyd [Betty] James; sister-in-law: Lillian Grant-Walters.
