We regret to announce the passing of Raymond Calvin Wellman.

A graveside memorial service honoring the life of Raymond Calvin Wellman, son of the late Marion and the late Harry Wellman; loving brother to Carolyn Bean [Myron], Judith Brown [the late John], Arthur Wellman [Ernestine], Jean Wilson [the late Ross], the late Philip Wellman [Dianne] and Norman Wellman in his 75th year of 5 Pembroke Park Lane, Pembroke, will be held at St. John’s Cemetery, Pembroke on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 3:00 pm.

Viewing will be held at Augustus Funeral Home Rose Chapel on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Calvin will be especially missed by nieces: Noreen Bartley [Lionel], Michelle Brown, Char-Lee Simons, Jennifer Wellman-Williams [Ngai], Semora Wellman, and Tansae Pearman [Seth]; nephews: Patrick Bean, Andrew Brown [Ahmet Ceviz], Jerome Brown [Kerrie], Jason Brown, Jerome Wellman, Duane Wellman [Sharifa], and Otis Simons [Anesia]; great nieces, great nephews, special cousins: Lynn Millett, Toby [‘Boop Boop’] Stuart; special godson: Sean Smith; special friends: Clarence [‘Brother Rat’] Richardson, Leroy “Geno” Burns, Albert “Fishcake” Place, Vincent Ratteray, Elroy Ratteray, David Fox, Heman Smith, cousins, extended family, friends and well-wishers both in Bermuda and overseas too numerous to mention. Calvin will be lovingly remembered by The Family of the late Ruth Stuart [aunt], The Kennedy Family, the Western Stars Family, Pembroke Park Family and Friends. Calvin’s favorite color is red.

Calvin was predeceased by aunt: Inez Kennedy; uncles: John Kennedy, Wesley Kennedy and Austin Kennedy. The ‘Raymond Calvin Wellman Memorial’ Facebook page will provide live stream coverage of the service for those who cannot be in attendance. The Family wishes to send a special thank you to Calvin’s team of loving and much appreciated care-givers including Arthur Francis, Dr. Carlton Jones, Island Health Services and the staff at Bermuda Hospitals Board.

Covid-19 precautions are to be observed and are required to have a maximum limit of 20 person in the viewing chapel at any given time. Mask and hand sanitation will be required and social distancing observed.
